When: May 28, 2016 | Where: Martin County, Florida | Theme: Outdoor, Beach, Sunrise, Casual
Just 10 minutes before the sun came out, Travis and Cheryl arrived at the Hobe Sound beach on Jupiter Island and were ready for their Sunrise Engagement Session. Once the sun came up out of the ocean, shots were taken and came out ever so beautiful; the sunrise was PERFECT! Though we are lovers of themes and “props” here on KV, we could not help but showcase this session as nature provided the best prop ever!
About the Sunrise Engagement Session
“Some of mine and Travis’ best dating adventures were outdoors! I grew up in New Jersey and having only spent about 5 years in Florida; Fishing, hunting and camping were somewhat new to me. I love it now! And Travis has always been super outdoorsy. This photo shoot was perfect for capturing that aspect of our relationship! There were so many great moments in this shoot, laughing and having fun with our photographer.
But my favorite had to be being picked up and walked out into the marsh by my brave and powerful husband. All in all this was a session I will never forget with pictures we’ll have to cherish for a lifetime!” – Cheryl
About the Couple
“We met through a mutual friend that I worked with named John. John has known Travis all his life and when he met me, he knew I had to meet him. He called me “the female Travis.” We all went out to dinner one night – John and his girlfriend, Travis, myself and my roommate at the time. During dinner, Travis and I discovered we went to the same church. Since I was new in town and hadn’t really met people from my church, we started sitting together.
We loved spending time together and after a few weeks of church, coffee after church and spending lots of time with Travis and his friends, we made it official. About two years later (on Christmas Day!) Travis proposed!” – Cheryl
Wedding Planning Advice
“I’ve never been much of a planner and big social events where I’m the center of attention just make me nervous. So when people would ask me what my favorite part about planning the wedding was, I would say “Planning it with Travis.”
My advice would be, whatever your personality type, enjoy this time with your future husband. Try not to spend too much of it being stressed out and don’t let the little problems get to you. You learn so much about each other in the process and it’s an amazing time of bonding and togetherness!” – Cheryl
