About the Vineyard Vintage Wedding

Where: Minnesota | When: September 12, 2015 | Theme: Vineyard, Wine, Vintage | Colors: Blue, Red

Chris and Jenny had a lovely ceremony at the Cannon River Vineyard and a reception at the Cannon River Winery. The couple love to travel and a few years ago they started visiting vineyards and wineries during every new trip and bringing a bottle or two home for souvenirs. Being such wine lovers, for their ceremony, instead of a unity candle, these two poured together two different types of wine!

Aside from having a wine unity ceremony, other unique and personal details existed throughout this vineyard themed wedding such as the DIY card box that was made of a wooden wine crate and the ‘vineyard vintage’ themed centerpieces with wine bottle menus, grapes, corks, and rustic wood table numbers to fit the theme perfectly. In a neat way, the place cards had corks and wine-themed design incorporated to the look.

Other details include the tipsy hand pies for dessert to replace the wedding cake, the social hour at the vineyard for the guests and the hand-made birdcage veil made by Jenny’s mom to suit her vintage style dress.

While we are totally gushing over the theme brought so alive, we can’t wrap it up without talking about the sweet color combination. That soft blue and red color combo is making our hearts flutter much!

About the Couple

“We found each other through an online dating service, right before my subscription ran out. For our first date, we met for dinner at a neighborhood restaurant and before we knew it, we’d talked for 3 hours and they were closing up. Chris proposed quietly, at home, on April 21, 2014 and our engagement photos were taken at that first date restaurant.” – Jenny

Wedding Planning Advice

“In retrospect, we would have loved to have scheduled more social time at our vineyard ceremony site – we had the perfect day to be outside and there was such great energy with our friends and family around us.” – Jenny
